David Lawrie was just absolutely amazing from start to finish. My Dad wanted a unique ring made and David came through for him. He is very informative, no messing about and gets the job done! The end result was just breath taking and my Dad is over the moon with his unique piece of jewellery. Could not fault David's work in any way, will definitely refer his services to future people and we now know where to go to get something in the future. Wonderful jewellery maker who shows his passion from start to finish, you won't be disappointed!

David at Ideal Diamonds is amazing. I showed up at his doorstep without an appointment just to have a chat and ended up spending 45 mins with him as he taught me everything there is to know about diamonds, we discussed what I was after and different options around the specific details of the ring. From there on I knew he was the guy to make the perfect ring, and after many emails and renderings we developed just that. The ring is literally more amazing than I envisioned, and more to the point she said yes!

Our complete experience with David and Ideal Diamonds from the first inquiry phone call to the day we picked up our finished ring was exceptional. We had a design thought in our head but David polished the idea and added his expert opinion without ever dampening our idea. The finished product is really different and (we think) exceptional. Stunning, pretty and beautifully made and presented. We couldn't recommend him more highly and will be using him for at least one more remodeling job in the near future.

Professional, extremely helpful and great communication - These are but a few words that describe my recent experience with dealing with David from Ideal Diamonds. From an idea in my head of what I wanted our engagement ring to look like to a stunning end result (the answer was "yes" of course), David made the process stress free and an enjoyable experience. David at Ideal Diamonds and Co was fantastic. My original engagement ring was stolen and I made the right decision to use David to replace it. I worked with David through a couple of different design ideas before I chose the setting that I wanted. Being from regional Victoria, it's a daunting task, buying sight unseen, something of such significant monetary and sentimental value, but David allayed my fears and his appreciation of fine gems meant that the stone I have is beyond beautiful and much better than I'd imagined. Throughout the whole process, David was approachable and understanding and totally professional, he responded to my (many) emails promptly and nothing was too much trouble. As devastating as it was to lose my original ring, David has gone above and beyond to create a ring that is incredibly beautiful and something I will wear with pride. My husband and I thank you for your excellent work and I can't recommend Ideal Diamonds and Co. enough.

My experience with Ideal Diamonds was an absolute delight and can safely say we have the perfect engagement ring for us. A solitaire round brilliant diamond on a platinum band with six diamonds either side of the centre stone. I first made an enquiry with a few questions and received a phone call the next day. The information and the friendliness I received confirmed that we wished to have our ring made by Ideal Diamonds. We set up a meeting with David and we discussed options and designs. He first educated us on diamonds, the suppliers and the different combinations we can have. From this experience we knew David had our best interest at heart and he only selects diamonds from the most trusted and certified sources and has the knack of finding a way to get you the best value for money. David then to our budget searched the kind of diamond we wanted and presented three great diamond options a few days later. He provided all reports beforehand and 3D enlarged images of the product as to have complete transparancy. We then selected the one we liked the look of most and upon receiving the ring the diamond was amazing and truly we got excellent value for money. The ring was constructed to perfection, we are awestruck and in love with our engagement ring. Overall, David was professional, efficient, friendly, honest, informative and will design and create a ring how you want and for the best price. I would recommend Ideal Diamonds to anyone and can't wait to come back to design our wedding bands.

My partner and I have just had a beautiful experience choosing a diamond engagement ring with Ideal Diamonds. Prior to contacting Ideal Diamonds I had visited two jewelry stores and on both occasions felt slightly confused as to what we were spending our money on. David, from Ideal Diamonds was amazing, he helped us understand diamonds and was able to show us a selection that suited our budget and then we chose a setting to suit the diamond. We loved his professionalism and above all his honesty. My ring is absolutely perfect and we will most definitely saved money. We will be returning to Ideal Diamonds to buy our wedding bands. I had been in the market looking for the right engagement ring for about a year and knew the exact style that I wanted. I took every opportunity to look in jewelers windows and speak to them directly to see if they had anything I would be interested in but I always came away frustrated and no closer to finding the ring. I googled a number of keywords and went through a few jewelers before I came across Ideal Diamonds & Co. The website was easy to navigate and had really good information on what to look for in a diamond and helped me to define the exact specs I wanted for the ring. I dropped them an email with my specs and got a response the same day. David was helpful and professional and with a short phone call he knew exactly what I wanted. He sent through a variety of photos (at different angles) of the perfect ring, the exact ring I wanted. He had a list of diamonds on his website that met my spec but he also recommended the best diamonds that would suit the ring and sent through the pics to help me make the decision. Once I had made my decision, the order was processed (at a great price) and sent by tracked courier to my house within a week (that includes setting the stone and transport time to NZ!). The ring was absolutely stunning when it arrived and looks even better on my fiances finger. It sparkles something awesome and people are constantly commenting on it and gazing at it - she is chuffed to bits! The whole process was plain sailing and was much easier than dealing with shop jewelers who are trying to score their next sale and didn't seem to listen to what I wanted. David was really passionate about diamonds and doing a great job and it really showed in the craftsmanship of the ring and the impeccable service. I have recommended Ideal Diamonds to others and I will be using them again for my wedding bands. Thanks for your help!!!

Could not recommend Ideal Diamonds more! David was so helpful, professional and took the time to walk me through every step of creating a perfect engagement ring for my partner. I was more than confident in his ability after meeting with him and seeing his products, and have already recommended him to many of my friends. Stunning end result, my partner is getting a lot of comments from friends, family and people we meet about the beautiful cut of the diamond and how great the ring looks. Very impressive!
